Three Hours with Shea Hardacre

Three Hours with Shea Hardacre from Skitch Clothing on Vimeo.

Shea Hardacre came to Toronto for a week to chill and ride with Finn Zygowski and some other locals. I had hoped to spend some more time with him but school was in the way so we only got to shoot for three hours on his last day here. This is what went down.

WRAHW Witchtape #3

WRAHW Witchtape 3 from WRAHW on Vimeo.

Something about Torey's edit's gets me psyched every time. I really don't know what it is and if someone asked me specifically why I liked this I'd probably have a very hard time explaining myself, but never the less Torey kills it yet again with probably the weirdest and funniest Witchtape yet! WRAHW.

Forest Ride

Forest Ride from Skitch Clothing on Vimeo.

I put this edit together over the weekend with my good friends Finn Zygowski and Denis Bejtic. I recently got some new camera gear and decided to give it a spin and this is what came out of it. Big thanks to both Finn and Denis for going fast and crashing into trees so we could get the shots, you dudes are awesome!

New Rides

I just thought I'd share a couple of new bikes we've got over here at Skitch. First and foremost Swoo is now riding for All-City on the new Dropout. Here's a couple fresh pics of his new ride.

I on the other hand am currently riding a new GOrilla Kilroy that I built up with the help of RaceFace and Velocity, a big thanks to those guys for helping me out.

Also I'd like to ad our good buddy Finn's new ride as well. This is his new Thrasher which is actually Mosher old Trasher, the colour way is looking pretty good if you ask me.

Sungwoo Kim

Sungwoo Kim - Summer 2010. from swoo on Vimeo.

Swoo is a really good friend of mine here in Toronto and he has been absolutely killing it on a bike as of late. I remember when I first met him about a year ago he could barely do any tricks and now he's impressing people left, right and center. Swoo and I worked on putting together this edit that recently landed him on All City Cycles, congrats dude! The full edit took about two weeks to complete and the final banger at the end had me real nervous for his safety, that line is serious business. I expect you'll see more from this kid real soon and his skills only seem to be improving with everyday. Again congrats on the new sponsor Swoo! You killed it!Photo by John Hargraft.

Fresh Weby From Torey

Torey Summer Weby 010 from WRAHW on Vimeo.

Torey hit me up with his new edit and he kills it. Great job dude, I'm loving the huge stair roll to stair gap and the double tire slide across that island. Don't get me wrong there's tons of other good shit in here so definitely have a look. Great job Torey.

TEE OH!

Wonka

Over the past couple of months it's been pretty quiet here on the blog. I really had to concentrate on school and there just wasn't enough time to keep on top of everything. I'm hopeful that I'll have a few more things to post here in the very near future but with my final year of school looming we'll see how productive the blog really is.

In any case, Wonka and Tom LaMarche made it up to Toronto about a month ago and we ended up riding a bit. I've shot some video footage which still needs to be edited but here are some photos that our good friend Ryan Narita shot while he was visiting from Vancouver. Enjoy.

Two Days In Toronto

Two Days In Toronto from Skitch Clothing on Vimeo.

On May 16th our two good friends, Tom LaMarche and Torey Thornton came to Toronto for a couple days of riding.
Day one started out how most trips usually do, slow. We all gathered in Trinity Bellwoods Park in West Toronto and grabbed some rays in the warm Toronto sunshine. It had been a few months since I had seen either Tom or Torey so it was good to catch up on what they've been up to. As the crew gathered we made our way over to a pizza joint, then back to the house they were crashing at to grab their bikes.First off I have to say that LaMarche's new Scissor is awesome! I had a blast riding around on it and the tires were insanely huge. I've heard that this is still in a prototype version and more changes are coming but damn it was nice!

I won't bother with a play by play of what went down in terms of tricks, I'll let the video do the talking. What I will say though was that these guys produce clips fast. The day went by as a bit of a blur, so many spots, so many tricks and just good times with friends riding. Our friend Alex Cirka was behind the lens capturing a ton of stills that went down that day.

Day two got started extremely slowly as we all met at Skydome at 5pm. Even with the shorter time frame for riding Torey was going off. I've said it before and I'll say it again but Torey is my favorite rider in the world to watch, he is unbelievably creative on a bicycle and mixes tech and big stuff so well. Torey was hitting all kinds of things and seemed just stoked to be riding in a new city. LaMarche decided to lay low on Monday night after killing it the day before.
The trip was a huge success with some awesome clips being produced. Torey did the biggest stair ride I've ever seen on a fixed gear, Mosher feebled over water and LaMarche just destroyed everything he touched whether it was airs or grinds.A huge thank you to Torey and Tom for coming to town, I hope you guys come back again soon. I know we all had a blast. Also thank you to Alex Cirka for the photos. This photo was just too funny not to post. LaMarche, George, Blayne and I, cracking jokes all day.

THE REVIVAL DVD OUT NOW!!!

The Revival DVD is now available for purchase here.

We have spent the past year and a half working on the project and we could not be happier with how it turned out. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we did making it.

Death Pedal Two, Trailer #2

Death Pedal 2 Trailer 2 from Killa Kareem on Vimeo.

This is too funny not to post. Kareem put together a new trailer for DP2 that was put up on April Fools Day. So many dudes that ride freestyle fixed are ex-rollerbladers and I know there was a lot of talk about this on the Revival trip to NYC. Good to see Torey and Wonka killing it.

Torey's site WRAHW got a bit of a face lift at a new URL. Head over and see what Torey has been up to.

Goat Sprints

The Goat Sprints from Corey MacGregor on Vimeo.

Here is a video by Corey MacGregor. These are the goat sprint races that took place at Jeff Curries birthday last year in Vancouver as far as I know. Corey is responsible for all the colour correction in the Revival and has also put together a documentary for the bonus features of the film which will be out soon. Amazing work Corey.

Toby Spunt

Here's an awesome shot of Toby at work. The photo was shot by Jennifer Tse and it really captures what work is like here in Toronto. Toby, Mosher and I all work or have worked as messengers here in Toronto so we're all real accustomed to riding in the snow. This winter has been pretty nice for us so far but you never know up here you could have snow in May if you're not lucky.

Mosher Bike Check

Tom Mosher Bike Check from Tom Mosher on Vimeo.

Like I said in the last post, I'm back at the blog and I'm going to try to keep this thing updated again so thank you all for your patience.

Here's Mosher's new bike check video. The bike is looking good these days and some of the tricks are bangin'. The stair gap was extemely impressive and I'm happy to see that Mosher finally got the 180 down the 6 stair at the art gallery done. We had tried to shoot that for Bootleg 3 but lets just say their were some issues with windows getting in the way.

Sorry For The Delay

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last month I have been extremely busy with the film and just life in general and haven't had much time at all to get to the blog. There have been so many things happening that it's really hard to know where to start. There was the RVA trick jam that went down with our whole crew in attendance. There have been more Revival premieres in places like Halifax, Manilla and a few others around the world. Mosher seperated his shoulder as well and will be taking it easy for the next little while.

I guess video news is probably what most people would like to hear so I'll start there. The Revival is on it's way very very very soon. You can expect some finalized news next week and a pre-order page to go up on The Revival website. The packaging is just waiting for one last touch and then we're all done.

There will most likely be some new cloths coming in April sometime as soon as school is wrapped up for me and I can focus on Skitch again.

Torey over at WRAHW just put out a sick tee so head over there and grab that for sure.

Wonka has been working on a clothing line called Grime St for the past little bit and put out an absolutely sick edit which I'm sure most of you have seen by now but if not, here you go. I would also like to point out to everyone that this does not mean that Wonka is leaving Skitch he will be supporting both his brand along with Skitch. Skitch is more of a family than anything so we all support one another with any new ventures we might be undertaking.

WELCOME TO GRIME ST from Mike Schmitt on Vimeo.

I promised my buddy Joe Piehler from Buffalo that I'd make a post about his new clothing line, Problem Child a while ago but then stuff got crazy hectic so here it is now almost a month late. Sorry Joe. Problem Child has some sick tee's and hats on the way. The one shirt to benefit Haiti is awesome to so please head over there and check out his stuff.

That will have to do it for this update and I promise I'll get back on here soon; life just needs to settle down a bit and then I'll be back at it. Thanks for everyone's patience.

Vienna

Vienna, Austria just hosted one of the final official Revival premieres and the place was packed! I'm always amazed when I see photos like this from around the world and it really makes me think that all the hard work of putting this film together was totally worth it. So thank you to anyone who has been to any premiere around the world, I can't thank you enough. In regards to the movie, we are just putting the finishing touches on the DVD and it will be hitting the streets very soon. I apologize for the severe lack of posts lately as I've been totally tied up with the film and have not had time to put work into the blog but I assure you that will be changing soon.

Wonka Holdin' It Down At Peel

Peel Sessions 02.04.2010 from John Prolly on Vimeo.

Prolly just posted up a video of Wonka getting wild off of one of the small concrete quarters at Peel. Barspins and 180's over the ledge were the order of the day.

Ed Glazer also upped a fresh photo from the same night of Wonka getting tucked going over the ledge.

Boulder Revival Premiere

Boulder had there Revival premiere the other day at the Boulder Indoor Velodrome. If you've never seen pictures from this place you have to check out the link. A velodrome with a mountain bike park in the center is something out of my dreams. A huge thank you goes out to Coastless for throwing the premiere and organizing such an awesome event.

Torey By John Hargraft

Torey in my mind is probably the most creative rider in this fixed gear freestyle game and this photo is no exception. This disaster to fakie was captured by our man John Hargraft at the Revival NYC premiere.

DEATH PEDAL 2!!!

Death Pedal 2 Trailer by Kareem Shehab from Killa Kareem on Vimeo.

By now you've seen this everywhere but I've been meaning to post it. Kareem seems like an awesome dude and the video features Wonka and Torey so definitely pick this up. Grab a pre-order here.

Interview With Moral Collective

A week ago I sat down with Moral Collective, an online publication based here in Toronto, to do an interview about life, the film and the future of Skitch. The interview is very lengthy but I hope you all find it some what interesting. Read the interview here.

Midwest Mayhem!

This is it people, the biggest fixed gear contest North America has ever seen! The Skitch crew will be there in full effect with Torey, Wonka and Mosher all heading to Milwaukee. This is also the first Revival screening in the state of Wisconsin so if you're anywhere near by don't miss this.
